Adam Belmont is hunting a serial killer. His obsession makes him forget everything including seeing his son, despite his ex-wife's efforts.

His colleagues believe that the serial killer is the one who shot him but he has no recollection of the events leading to the shooting and doesn't understand why there is a kidnapped woman in his cellar.
