Bankerot is a series created by Kim Fupz Aakeson with his usual flair for whacky characters, a handful of vaguely dysfunctional characters with many talents but a distinct inability to get their heads round their lives.
Thomas (40) is a widower and Dion (40) is just out of prison. As the Toothfairy pressures Dion to pay back old debt, he drags Martin out of mourning, jumpstarting their old dream to open a restaurant. A dream soon to be invaded by gangsters, fathers, ratting, cheating and a low cash flow. But still, friendship and love seems to grow in this muddyfield of weed and gravel.
It is a character driven series, a motley crew to say the least. None of them are normal. Or is normal actually exactly what they are?
