Clara Amfo and Remi Burgz introduce performances from two British rappers taking to the stage at the Glastonbury Festival.
First up is west London's AJ Tracey, who makes his debut on the Pyramid Stage. His career to date has spanned a decade and has blossomed in recent years, with his track Ladbroke Grove sound-tracking the summer of 2019 and the release of his self-titled debut album. He has collaborated with the likes of Dave and Aitch and last year put out his second studio album, Flu Game, which featured guest appearances from the likes of Mabel, Digga D and MoStack.
Pa Salieu performs on the John Peel Stage. Pa has emerged to much acclaim in the last couple of years and was the winner of the BBC Sound of 2021. Born in Slough, he moved back to his parents' native The Gambia before his first birthday, returning to the UK when he was eight, to live in Coventry, which provided inspiration for his breakout song, Frontline, released in early 2020. The track went on to be the most-played track of that year on BBC Radio 1Xtra, and the city continued to inspire his debut mixtape released in 2020, Send Them To Coventry.
