Hunting Down The Nazis S01E01 - Episode 1

Hunting Down The Nazis

Sinopse

Wiesenthal was joined on his quest by German/French lawyer and historian Serge Klarsfeld - whose father was deported and murdered - who has also devoted his life to searching for the highest-level Nazis still at large. He married Beate, a German non-Jew who denounced the silence of her people and the laws that allowed these criminals to remain unpunished. She began by slapping Chancellor Kiesinger in public, who was one of the officials responsible for Nazi propaganda.

As a result of their efforts, Gestapo killers like Kurt Lischka, Herbert Hagen and Klaus Barbie - who was responsible for the death of French resistance leader Jean Moulin - were unmasked and put on trial. And there was more - thanks to Wiesenthal the likes of high-ranking and highly culpable Nazi officials Adolf Eichmann, Franz Stangl and Josef Mengele were also discovered, identified and brought to trial.
