Mark Chapman presents coverage of the Group D match from Volksparkstadion Hamburg. The Netherlands will be looking to improve on a disappointing recent record in Euros finals, having not made it past the quarter-finals since 2004. In 2021, they sailed through their group, finishing top with three wins out of three and scoring eight goals in the process, only to lose to Czechia 2-0 in the last 16. Poland made it to this tournament after defeating Wales in a play-off final penalty shootout, after they finished third in their qualifying group behind Albania and Czechia. They'll be looking to fare a lot better than their last appearance at this competition, when they finished bottom of their group after drawing one game and losing the other two, with even the goals of Robert Lewandowski unable to help them progress.
