Channel 4 presents live coverage of the first of three US presidential debates, as Donald Trump goes head to head with Hillary Clinton. The showdown is set to eclipse Nixon and Kennedy, and become one of the highest rating political TV events in history. The stakes couldn't be higher; both candidates take to the stage knowing their performance may well determine who will become the next President of the United States. Billionaire and reality TV star Trump takes on Clinton at Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York. Over 90 minutes, the candidates will debate major topics, selected by a moderator. They have two minutes to talk about each topic and also have a chance to respond to each other.
