In the Fall of 2011, Maple Batalia, a young university student with a promising career as an actor and model, was brutally shot and slashed to death on the campus parking lot in Surrey, B.C. The killing made international headlines, sparking Surrey's Punjabi community and her family to make continued calls for justice and to arrest her murderer. Amid rapidly mounting pressure, the RCMP are tasked with piecing together Maple's mysterious personal life and the days leading up to her death, only to find several of the key clues missing, including a security camera that panned away from the scene of her death just moments before she was killed.
