Professor Mia van der Linden hears from Hupkes that her club is going to be cut back. This will be her last edition. Mia's assistant Abby thinks it's because Mia doesn't play by Hupkes' rules. Mia is pissed off, but determined to change Hupkes' mind. She thinks she can achieve this by working on the cold case about Kevin Metsers.
