As Britain's council housing shortage worsens, more benefit tenants than ever before are renting privately. In some areas of the country demand for low-cost housing far outstrips supply, and, as austerity cuts and changes to the benefit system bite, letting agencies specialising in housing benefit are feeling the pressure. In Manchester, letting agent Amin is on the trail of a woman who's fallen behind in her rent. Neighbours have reported many people coming and going from the property, and when he turns up at her house, Amin discovers a nasty surprise. Across town, young agent Joe Beck finds himself caught between one of his landlords and a tenant who owes over £3600 in rent arrears and is refusing to pay.
