The Oldest Rookie S01E01 - At the End of the Long Arm is the Glad Hand (Pilot)

Ike Porter relinquishes his cushy job as a police bureaucrat and enters the police academy to become a street-beat patrolman after the murder of an old friend. Both Ike and his partner Tony are promoted to detectives. They investigate a murder case much to displeasure of their boss.
