For most of history, traditional marriage had little to do with romantic love. In the new season of the successful series Austria – The Complete History, Andreas Pfeifer and Mariella Gittler once again delve into the history of our country. The first episode takes us back to the beginnings of bourgeois marriage, which, like noble marriages, primarily served the purpose of maintaining social status and wealth.
