MacKenzie's drunken on-air rants and Gascoigne's tedious play about Louis Pasteur also drive the patients to watching old films on TV, but when Nurse Reynolds unwittingly chats up Duncan on air, it gives birth to a saucy soap opera with the patients clamouring for more.
