Coverage of the Group F match from Volksparkstadion Hamburg, in what is the first-ever meeting between the two countries. Czechia have had some positive runs in this competition since they first entered as Czech Republic in 1996, when they finished runners-up to Germany. Since then, they have reached a semi-final in 2004, as well as two quarter-finals in 2012 and 2021. Georgia haven't featured at any major finals, so progression to the knockout stage would be deemed a success, in a group that also features Portugal and Turkiye. Their most experienced players include captain Guram Kashia, who has played over 110 times for his country, and midfielder Jaba Kankava, who has just over 100 caps as well. The leading scorer in the current squad is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who, despite only making his international debut in 2019, is their third leading goalscorer of all time. Kvaratskhelia plies his trade in Italy with Napoli, and the Georgian squad is one of the most diverse in the tournament in terms of where the players play at club level. Mark Chapman presents, with analysis from David Moyes, Thomas Hitzlsperger and Ellen White, and commentary by Robyn Cowen.
