François goes to Paul-André, Renaud and Marlène's cottage, much to Marlène's dismay. Renaud understands François' grief and confusion over the death of his wife, and understands his desire to get closer to his old friends. Renaud confides in Jacynthe's mother, Simone, about the confrontation he had the day before with her son, Tomas. Céleste finds Tomas in a terrible state. Haunted by his mother's departure, Édouard breaks down. At the cottage, Marlène is disturbed by François' revelations, giving a new perspective to her meeting with Sylvie. An incident disrupts the tennis match between Renaud and François.
