Adam now knows who Hawa is, and Hawa who Adam is. Through their book, they talk to each other. Adam tells his parents about room 309, and about what he saw there: weird pictures of himself. When he goes with his parents and the doctor to have a look, room 309 turns out to be an ordinary room. No trace of the pictures. Adam is imagining everything, they claim. But Hawa believes Adam and advises him to take another look. This is how Adam discovers that his parents and the doctor are lying to him. But why?
