At the same time, in Birmingham, paramedics Jo Hardwick and Peter Bowles treat a five-year-old boy who is having an asthma attack; while across the city, student paramedic Dave Watts must attend his first cardiac arrest after an elderly woman is found in her bed without a pulse.
