A new GP called Ian Peters arrives in Aidensfield and immediately wins Maggie's heart by treating baby Sam's infection. However, the villagers are not impressed by his methods when one of Jackie's friends is involved in a car crash and he misdiagnoses her. As Maggie begins a whirlwind romance, Mike's investigation of the crash is compromised when Lord Ashfordly's nephew is put in the spotlight.
