The second episode starts on a farm, where two different groups of children are given a taste of independence.
For Amber, Theo & Theodora the first job of the day is cleaning troughs using toilet plungers, much to the kids' bemusement. And when their boss Tom tells them he will be choosing the best worker for a very special job of grooming the guinea pigs, rebellion ensues between the children. Later, when the group are tasked with feeding the chickens, the birds make a bid for freedom…
Once the kids have been given a small financial reward for helping out, they head off to the shops to buy provisions for a picnic. One group have been given the opportunity to make a list of ingredients for their dream sandwiches, whilst the others go shopping totally unprepared, left to their own devices. But they face an even trickier moral decision after stumbling upon a lost wallet containing a whopping £10.
After a long day of many adult decisions, the children end at the park, with one final test in store – deciding whether they want to help a homeless person (who's actually an actress in disguise). Whilst the other group tuck into their less than tasty ‘dream' sarnies, conversations end on surprising topic – where Arthur and Parker make a convincing case of how the earth must be flat.
