If a banker brings the money too generously among the people, it can hardly go well! The Graz investigator duo Bergmann and Sulmtaler must solve a fatal robbery on a platoon in „ Steirergeld ". Director Wolfgang Murnberger and his co-author Maria Murnberger came up with an extremely unusual criminal case for the eighth film in the popular series, which is based on Claudia Rossbacher's success books. Leading actor Hary Prinz and his film partner Anna Unterberger spice up the entertaining investigation story with an accurate dialogue joke. The image design by Peter von Haller and the music by Roman Kariolou confidently underline the casual situation comedy.
A world collapses in the tranquil Murbruck: In the morning, the highly respected Rudi Stiegler ( Gottfried Breitfuß ) goes bankrupt with his private bank and still in the evening he dies in his own house in a robbery. The rescuers called by his wife Lore ( Fanny Stavjanik ) are late. The cause of death is clearly a heart attack, but the burglars do not seem to be entirely innocent. For Commissioner Sascha Bergmann ( Hary Prinz ) and his colleague Anni Sulmtaler ( Anna Unterberger ), the whole thing looks like a criminal case. Anyone who is now without money – from craftsmen to the ice hockey club can be considered as a perpetrator. The Viennese financial auditor Markus Tauber ( Michael Menzel ) could also have something to do with the windy shops. After all, he overlooked a pyramid scheme for years, through which Stiegler was able to offer his customers all too impressive interest. While the desperate Murbruckers are now wondering how things will go without the generous Rudi,Bergmann and Anni have to find out who really has him on his conscience.
