A typical Valleys house in a typical Valleys town, but with a less-than-typical family living inside.

Connor, Rachel, Hayley and Joe are trying their best to get by while living under the radar, working zero-hours contracts and struggling to make ends meet. The power keeps shutting off, the internet is sporadic at best, there is no food and, despite ever-more ingenious traps, the resident mouse manages to keep evading them. Add to this a heavily pregnant Rachel, and you have a perfect storm.
