The outbreak of World War II. In September 1939, Germany invades Poland and quickly succeeds in conquering much of Europe. Private footage shows Hitler triumphantly inspecting a fallen Paris. His systematic persecution of the Jews proceeds unfettered as people turn a blind eye.
