By the 1920's, Manhattan is a warren of skyscrapers. It pumps out huge volumes of information, and feeds the burgeoning desires of the masses. Everyone is on the make for wealth and pleasure. Manhattan is forging a new mass society. In this episode, we turn our lens to American society in the 1920's, a world of light and shadow, of celebration and despair.
